Make shift attendance simple
A restaurant or hotel turns over several shifts a day, and the team changes often. A schedule written by hand is out of date within a week. OneWork sets the shifts up once and records arrivals and departures from then on.
What gets in the way in hospitality
The rota changes constantly
The schedule is rebuilt every week. By month end nobody remembers who worked which shift.
High turnover
New staff join often, and each time the paperwork and timesheet are set up again from scratch.
Hours worked are disputed
Nothing records who worked how long, so payroll turns into a disagreement.
How OneWork handles it
Shift schedules
Morning, afternoon and evening shifts are set once, and each person is assigned to a shift.
Fast check-in
The Face ID terminal at the staff entrance recognises by face, so no queue builds up.
Hours count themselves
Hours worked, lateness and early departures are calculated daily and land in the timesheet.
Pay and penalties
Hourly pay, lateness penalties and bonuses are calculated inside the system.
A day in the restaurant
- 08:00
The morning shift arrives and the kitchen opens.

- 23:30

How the rollout goes
- 01
We map the need
We go through how restaurants and hotels actually runs: shifts, branches, who works where.
- 02
Device or app
We install the Face ID terminal, or set up the mobile app and its geofences.
- 03
We set the rules
Shift times, lateness, penalties and bonuses are matched to how you already work.
- 04
We go live
Staff are added, faces enrolled, and your team is shown how to use it.
Setup normally takes a day. The system runs in full for all 14 days of the free trial, and no card is required.
Restaurant and hotel questions
- Is high staff turnover a problem?
- A new employee is added to the panel and their face is enrolled on the terminal once. It takes a few minutes.
- Does it handle two shifts in one day?
- Yes. Each shift is recorded separately and the hours are added together.
- We run several venues, are they all visible?
- Yes. Each venue is visible on its own and appears in the combined report.
- Does it handle extended shifts on banquet days?
- Yes. Hours past the end of the shift are recorded as overtime and feed into payroll.
- Can we add trainees and temporary staff?
- Yes. They are added like any employee and removed from the count once they are no longer needed.
